Now that you've downloaded and installed FACEWARE you can use this page as your roadmap to find tutorials, read documentation, get answers to frequently asked questions, and download free performances. Our goal is to make sure you have all the tools you need to give our software a thorough evaluation. If you have any questions whether they be technical, creative, or about pricing, please don't hesitate to email support@image-metrics.com and we'll reply as soon as possible.

Image Metrics teamed up with Hollywood pros, Blindlight, to give our users a library of over 100 free performances to browse, download, and animate. Download the IMPDs right from the site and get started animating with a variety of actors and shots. Search and filter videos by gender, actor, category and more to find a performance that will suit your project's specific needs.
Although you can download free sample facial rigs in Maya or 3DS Max to take a look at what we use at Image Metrics, Faceware is really meant to be used with your own facial rig. There are no special rigging requirements, proprietary nodes, or plug-ins required. Watch the tutorial on Character Setup to get started animating your character.
There are some rig types that produce nicer results than others and we recommend that all users read our document on "Best Practices In Facial Rigging For Faceware", but the software is technically agnostic to the type of rig you and your studio use. Joint/Bone rigs, blendshapes, hybrids, even custom deformers will all work well as long as they can accept keyframes. Pipeline integration is simple.
Faceware is designed to work with YOUR facial rig, just the way it is.
Have you got Faceware downloaded and ready to go but you're not sure where to start? We can setup a free online meeting with one of our staff via GoToMeeting to discuss workflow tips and best practices. Use the form below to contact our staff and request your meeting.
