The PortableYou platform is a suite of web services that enables a developer to create applications with advanced avatar creation, customization, and projection functionality. With a PortableYou enabled application, end-users can instantly generate customizable 3D avatars from photos of their face and carry these avatars across other enabled third-party applications.
PortableYou consists of four advanced avatar services. PortableYou AVATAR CREATION technology constructs an accurate, high-resolution 3D head model of a user in under a minute using one or more photos uploaded by a user. The platform's ACCESSORY services allow a user to personalize their avatar with items such as hair, glasses, and jewelry, while TRANSLATION services convert the head to any resolution, rig, and animation format required by PortableYou enabled virtual worlds, video games, or other 3D application. Users can also star in their favorite video clip or still image using the platform's unique RENDER services.
All of this functionality is accessed via simple, platform-agnostic web APIs. Client libraries are available in most modern development languages, making it very easy for developers to integrate the most advanced personalized avatar technology into mobile, desktop, and server environments.
