FACEWARE provides studios the creative animation tools necessary to transfer a video performance of an actor to any character rig, significantly increasing fidelity, realism, and efficiency within your animation pipeline while driving down production costs. The software utilizes pose-based, performance-driven facial animation technology allowing rapid high quality facial animation to be created in significantly less time than competing methods.
FACEWARE starts with completely markerless facial performance CAPTURE from a single video source. This process allows complete freedom to direct your performances not being limited to specific environments. Users then PROCESS videos via our secure online processing portal, which initiates our performance analysis technology and produces corresponding analyzed data files which feed directly into the FACEWARE animation toolset.
Artists then DEFINE and create a few artistic character poses effectively teaching the technology the relationship of the live actor to the CG character. This freedom allows artists to either add style yet still maintain character or keep a 1:1 relationship to the actor.
Once these poses are defined, FACEWARE intelligently interprets these poses and quickly TRANSFERS the entire performance to character rig controls by creating an intelligent mapping between the pose control values and the performance analysis data.
